In print and on the web your business is sure to look amazing
Hire MeWhen considering a graphic design or web design professional, choose one that brings talent and expertise to your marketing projects.
From designing in a print shop to managing a web design team, my experience is vast and spans over twenty years. And for the past five, I’ve worked exclusively as a design consultant for numerous businesses.
My Career Began with Traditional Graphic Design
After graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, I began my career working in a tiny print shop. I was hired to handle simple design tasks but my assignments varied day-to-day according to the needs of the business. One day I might take phone calls or manage the company’s bank account. The next I might help run the offset press or deliver printed materials. My career didn’t begin quite as I imagined but I was taught to always be prepared for the unexpected.

Nice to Meet You!
For a time I also worked for an apparel company with a team of artists designing screen printed clothing. With licenses from Marvel and DC Comics (among others), it was our task to illustrate, ink, scan, and ultimately, digitize those designs for printing.
Now I’ve always had artistic talent and enjoyed using those skills, but more importantly, it was the first time I worked as part of a team. Our collaboration was invigorating as we shared ideas and tackled jobs together. Today, I still bring a positive spirit to any team and help contribute to the success of the business.
Much of my experience using traditional graphic design skills came during a pair of lengthy stints at a real estate firm and then later at a footwear company. During that time, I tackled all manner of printed materials such as ads, brochures, and packaging.
My Transition to Web Design and Development Began During the Dot Com Boom
When the internet exploded in the late 90s, I taught myself HTML and took on numerous contract assignments designing and building static websites. I had created a trio of sites before landing a full-time gig as a web designer working on emails, banners, and microsites.
A few years later, I joined the aforementioned footwear company, and was also designing and coding websites and email campaigns along with creating printed collateral.
Over the past ten years, I’ve been adding to my front-end developer skills while creating, emails, static websites, WordPress sites, and more.
I’ve spent the past ten years as a self-employed consultant, taking on contract jobs for various clients across the country. From logos and flyers, banner graphics and websites, is there something I might do for your organization? Why not contact me and find out.
Whether you’re a startup or have been in business for years, you’ll benefit from having the creative for your graphic design or web design needs to be handled by an experienced professional.
